Am I the only one who thinks the Brady Bunch is overrated?

I grew up when the Brady Bunch was on TV and we didn't think it was a big deal then. My only reason for watching it was Maureen McCormick. :sneaky:

I seem to remember it being a big deal at the time, IIRC it was the first TV show that showed a husband and wife sleeping in the same bed.

Funny though as nowadays you have crap like Desperat HoeWives that shows neighborhood skanks running around in teddy's blowing random plumbers.

Live TV. The first couple shown in bed together were Fred and Wilma Flintstone.

I need to move there. Wouldn't mind a random blowjob from the neighborhood skanks there.

I'm pretty sure that Bewitched had them sharing a single bed as well. (Can't see Snopes from work in case it is mentioned there)

Yep. Bewitched beat The Munsters by about a month, The Flintstones beat the Munsters and Mary Kay and Johnny won by almost 15 years. The Brady Bunch was not close to being first, they were a long way back.

The Brady Bunch is notable though for having 6 kids share a single bathroom that didn't even have a toilet.

I liked it enough to watch it when I was little, but no great love for the show. It's like most TV for me. It's "alright".

The only people I know who like it are into it for the ultra cheezy so-bad-it's-good sort of thing. I think it's just plain bad.

i'm sure it would be pretty dreadful if i watched it now, but the movies were fantastic.

Sometimes it's better to never go back. I loved Get Smart when I was younger, and watched it again within the last year. It just didn't have the old magic for me anymore :^( Going back to old TV can sometimes ruin some good memories :^/

My only reason for watching it was that there was nothing else on...
