are bullshit and unpleasant? Especially forcing Google+ nonsense on me?

Is there any way to go back to the old Picasa?

They're forcing people back to MS. Microsoft will retake Google after the Win8 rollouts. Google will be a thing of the past. They were good when the were freethinking and open.

Getting rid of iGoogle did it for me! Loved it. Now MyMSN is good.

LOL, I think you're severely mistaken if you think Win8 is going to somehow bring Google to its knees.

I don't know about any Google Plus stuff, but the low-contrast low-density dynamic UIs are annoying.

remember the internet from about 95-2005? god was that awesome

I pretty much still use it like it was then. I have no need for 99% of what MS or Google or anyone else brings out and believe it or not I consider myself a technology person. I've just come to the realization I don't NEED every new little gadget some company thinks I need. Most of it is bloated spyware crap that 1: you really don't NEED if you think about it, or 2: there's a free non bloated/spyware version that does it just as well. It's not an issue with change, it's that not all change is needed or actually a benefit to the end user. (/rant) Once a company is successful, they have to think about growth..and that's when they start to go downhill. Competing for things they shouldn't be competing for, thinking more about the bottom line than innovation. (/rant)

Future Shock. Avoid it and you'll be happier. (Of course...at the time I learned of this some 20+ years ago, technology wasn't really the focus..but I think it still applies)

Yeah, moments that are lost in time when advertising on the internet was non-existent, true story. And video game publishers/makers all had toll free telephone numbers with live human beings that spoke good English and techsupport@company.com email addresses. Netscape was preferred browser of choice for most. Them days are gone!

The final straw for you was when they got rid of iGoogle? Of all their services and products, the one that really got you was their portal page that nobody used? LOL.
