Am I the only one who misses old school Southpark?

With the season split into two halves and it focusing more on what?s happing in the news it feels like Parker and Stone are forgetting their roots and doing less ?normal? South Parks. Now don?t get me wrong, I still love the show and never miss it, but when was the last time they did a Halloween or Christmas episode?

Just saying that poking fun at the stuff in the news is fine and all, but I would hate to see them get lazy and rely solely on it for ideas.

I only love the first season episodes.
From 2nd season on its funny but not sidesplitting.
Most of their humor is in shock and since its been going on so long I am no longer suprised by them.

They probably should have stopped when everyone expected them to: right after the movie.

I would love to see more episodes like Woodland Critter Christmas and Red Sleigh Down - but no more Mr. Hanky

When the critters showed up in imaginationland I thought that was brilliant.

there were a couple flops this season (that britney spears one, the McCain / Obama Oceans 11 thing or whatever that was...) still on the whole, better than 95% of the crap on TV.

Change is good, seeing Stain's dad evolve into his own character was great to see and I hope they do it to more of the people on the show. Kenny changing would not really work as Kenny is pretty much as evolved as he will/should be.

I love South Park just as much now as I did in the past.

Same here, I'm just saying that I want to see more classic south park storylines that don't really have much to do with what was on fox news last Friday.

I miss Cartman's old voice. And I miss Kenny dying in every episode. And yes, it's a little too newsy. I'd like to see maybe 3 or 4 episodes per year based on the hottest current events. They're getting too much into news that isn't all that interesting.
