Am i the only one who knows how to use eBay? Look at this audtion i just won:

http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1303899180

This is a DishNetwork 4700 receiver, Dish 500 with two dual LNBF's and two SW21 switches, all brand new. Now the real reason i bought this is the receiver - i already have the other parts. The Dish and the LNBFS can be sold for at least $60 and the switches for another $20. So that leaves $150 for the receiver. Now, these receivers, USED, usually sell for at least $160. So basically i just got a brand new unit for $10 less than a used one. Damn eBay's good when you know how to use it :D

But then, sometimes it's just bad luck. This is the receiver i got for my parents:

Hah, you guys won't believe what just happened! I emailed the guy asking for his PayPal account information so that i can pay him and a few hours later, received a brand new email from him telling me that he received my payment and will send the item soon. I think that some scam artist saw what a great deal i got and decided to take it away from me, so he emailed the seller saying that he's the winner and quickly paid. He thought he could quickly pull this off and get the stuff sent to him before i contact the seller. Since many people wait for days before contacting, that's possible. And i think the seller wrote me instead because i also sent him a second email, in which i asked him only if he has received the previous email and told him to make sure he uses the same address to reply, since the address i have registered with eBay is down. So i guess i'm pretty lucky. I scammed the scam artist. And when he emails me asking to send the stuff over to him, he's getting the finger.

Looking at all the work involved selling off the extra parts and shipping and stuff it seems like it is a decent deal but nothing crazy, if someone tried to jump ahead and beat you to the seller for a few bucks they are totally lame.
You sure it isn't possible since the seller has such high feedback that someone else didn't just pay him for something else completely and he just emailed the wrong person back?

Well, I suspect we all have our methods- Myself, I like to look for the Local items that are expensive to ship- or have outrageous shipping prices.

Bought a pretty decent CTX 21" monitor for $90- the guy wanted $150 for shipping! Surprisingly enough- no one would bid on it! Just had to drive 45 miles to pick it up- I figure that's as good as money in the bank!

That kind of stuff can happen when people put direct links to pay for the item on their description page.
