Am I the only one who hated the ending to Casino Royale?

Seemed very abrupt.. just when I was about to compliment the film for not ending abruptly like most other films i've seen lately, Craig says his one line and then boom, its over!! When does Bond get a piece of the 'organization'?! Weak sauce.

Metal Gear Solid 3 had a better story IMHO :evil:

edit: I felt the need to rant after seeing the 94% rating on RT

It wasn't supposed to be a cookie-cutter Bond film. It was about the evolution from "agent" to "commander." It's really cool to see him evolve through the film.

The original was not a serious Bond movie. It was a comedic spoof.

I enjoyed the film for what it is - it set up the character's background; the closure; i believe, was not completely necessary - but I did like the Russian, I thought he should've been a stronger character, but other than that, I enjoyed the flick.

Agreed, Daniel Craig (New Guy) is much better than Brosnan. After Goldeneye, Brosnan just seemed like he was lacking.

I thought the ending was fine. Craig did an amazing job playing Bond and the entire movie did a great job recreating Bond as a real character. I love Goldeneye as much as the next guy, as it is an entertaining movie. However, even Goldeneye doesn't come close to Casino Royale, imo.
