Am I the only one who doesn't watch TV ?

I don't know why but for some reason i have a TV at home that hasn't been turned on since like ever, and wherever I go I really pay no attention to the TV, for some reason that device that I grew up using constantly just fails to get my attention any more, I cancelled my cable line subscription like a year ago, and haven't looked back.

Why am I posting about this now ? Well I don't know when I talk with my friends they start asking me about this show or that show and I keep saying "No I never heared of it" and now they think that I am from the stone age 😀 But what can I do about it really ?

pretty much just Prison Break for me, maybe some Hockey Night in Canada when they aren't showing those stupid Leafs

Well... I guess I spend more time in front of a TV lately than I used to, but I'm usually doing whatever on my laptop at the same time... I never really "watch TV" without doing something else at the same time.

I just watch the evening news. That is all. No movies.

I would not consider that watching TV on a regular basis.

Kind of interesting, the time I've spent watching the TV has drastically declined for me as well, with it peaking in 2002. Possibly one of the reasons is because the picture looks god awful on my cable and there being so many advertisements on TV, seemingly every 5 minutes. Only shows I've been tuning into are: Prison Break, 24, Simpsons, Sopranos, and 'Every Body Hates Chris', everything else on TV just doesn't seem worth it.

I don't have cable and watch three shows: 24, Leno, Conan. And football during the fall. Use the TV a lot for DVDs though.

It's good to hear I am not the only one here, it's just that I thought that I am just getting older and becoming an old grumpy man :Q

<----- Still in mid 20's

Nope, you are probably getting to that stage of realizing TV = utter crap and waste of time. Edit: and half the time its commercials and fluff.

News ,weather (i can get those from the internet i still prefer to watch them on tv)
There is always soemthing i look forward to every tuesday (Boston Legal)

well i watch very little tv in real time. and when i do i multitask while watching. but there certainly are good shows to watch still

I haven't paid for cable since 1998. It just wasn't worth the $30 a month to me. Antenna never pulls in FOX or UPN no matte what city I live in. I watch FG and AD on Sunday, and that's pretty much it. Otherwise, I watch the occasional DVD set.

Yeah, I very seldom watch any tv. It's on in the background sometimes though. The only time I really watch it is when sci-fi friday was on. There are maybe 3-4 shows in a year that I will actually make a point to watch. I'd say I'm averaging about an hour or two a week now that those shows are all in reruns.
