My old Motorola flip phone is held together by tape, but still works great! It'll be a sad day when I have to get a new phone.

Total fvckin agreement on this one!

I just want a compact flip-fold cell phone that vibrates, good battery life, and a decent belt holster!

Heh.. I destroyed my year old Nokia the other day, so had to get a new phone... ended up with a Sanyo that has a videocamera, etc... (I did decide against getting the one with a built-in mp3 player)

Honestly, the f*ck do I care for?

Does it ring? Yes.
Is is small enough to fit in a pocket, and big enough not to lose? Yes.
Does it get good reception and battery life? Yes.
Good. Make it as cheap as possible.

I don't care if I can't wirelessly transmit my downloaded MP3 ringtone with full-colour animated background to my closest friend via Bluetooth. If I want a PDA, I'll buy one.

...and then you have to carry around two things. You're the guy we all see at the mall that needs a backpack to carry all his crap. I have a cellphone that is a PDA, camera, and a phone. No need for anything else. You'll be amazed how often having a camera on you comes in handy. I bet I use it 3 or 4 times a week saying "Man...I'm glad I have this thing!" Really came in handy when looking for houses. We took pics of all the candidates and it helped us decide.

BTW- they paid me $70 to buy my phone with a 2 year contract.

But once again that brings us back to the problem that a lot of us cannot have cameras of any kind at work. And I still haven't been shown a Verizon phone that has all of the other features minus a camera or video recorder.

Also, I don't need a backpack to carry a camera around if I'm house shopping. :p

and once again if you're unfortunate enough to be in that situation, they have base phones with no features on them available anywhere.

I have a pad and pen. It's a calender, a Tablet PC, and a way to get girl's phone numbers without looking like a huge nerd. :p

I know my wife's phone number already, so I don't have to worry about that ;)

You win, I've wondered this forever. I have a picture phone but I don't pay for all the added crap with sprint. After negotiating with their retention group I get nationwide service, 1000 anytime, 4000 N&W, 500 PCS to PCS for $35. Paying for all that other crap is pointless.
