I can't wait for this year's batch. I wasn't a fan of 2 years ago's batch..and last year's batch was the worst they've had I think. I'm hoping they bounce back big time this year. I also found another great pumpkin beer: Shipyard's Pumpkinhead

Beer is such a low class beverage. I can't be bothered to drink it.

I always thought it was somewhat childish to get excited over drinking beer. Seems young kids get really talk the most about it. The more mature crowd in their late 30's and beyond pretty much sit and enjoy their beverage in silence.

Go to a homebrew supply shop and say that :D.

I used to brew my own as a hobby, and I'd see people in the shop tasting each others beer, swishing it around in their mouth and smelling it like wine.

I love the taste of beer, and appreciate it's qualities, but I've never gotten so obsessed that I could tell subtle differences in batches.

I like sammy octoberfest, but I just bought a keg of yuengling that's probably going to last me like 6 months. The wife loves the stuff though, so I'll probably pick up a 12 pack for her and throw a couple down.

Octoberfest is probably my favorite Sam Adams brew. I'm going to see if I can find a case of Southern Tier's Pumking around here.. although I doubt it. :( That's probably my favorite pumpkin out there. DFH's is ok, but I find it changes a decent bit from season to season. I also really liked Weyerbacher's Imperial Pumpkin.. Shipyard's was.. eh.. Mmm.. fall seasonals.

I'm not a fan. The spice clashes with the beer taste to me.

I wish they sold Blue Moon Summer Ale all year long :)

I was talking to a manager at a bar recently; they actually push the Summer Ale (the company that brews Sam Adams), and try to keep bars ordering it as long as possible. Too bad because it's by far my least favorite of the sam's. I just don't really get any taste out of it. Just feels like glass shards to me

Usually red beers don't also have the red foam, but this was CRAZY!

A man who knows his beer. I enjoyed DFH and Weyerbach's pumpkin beers although I remember DFH being a brown ale with a subtle pumpkin taste. Looked for Pumking last year but couldn't find it. My favorite from last season was the smuttynose pumpkin ale. Shipyard pumpkin is extremely over the top, tastes more like pumpkin pie/candy.

To me Sam Adams is great from the keg/tap. Not so great from the bottle. For bottled beer I prefer an ice cold pyramid hef with a slice of orange if i got it.
