I guess I'm a freak too (although less so without the Christmas music). Everyone once in a while my wife and I will

1. Crank the A/C
2. Put on some warm pj's
3. Drink hot chocolate
4. Take off said pj's
5. ?
6. Profit

Some joker at a bar I was in a few years back once set the (very loud) jukebox to play non-stop christmas music...and then left. The carols went on for over an hour until they finally pulled the plug and reset it. This was in July.

You didn't used to live in Michigan by chance, did you?

Christmas music is, IMO, the most annoying music ever to plague mankind.

The only good Christmas music is by Mannheim Steamroller.

that's the thing... I don't really like Christmas music either  it just reminds me of the winter. you can't really escape it unless you absolutely never venture out into an office building, grocery store, restaurant, mall, etc, etc between November and January.

when everything I hate about summer gets overwhelming (heat, bugs, humidity, more expensive gas, etc...) I blast my air conditioner and play christmas music :laugh:
As compared to show tunes the rest of the time?

Try this on for size......Black Friday a few years ago, outside a Circuit City.

CC provided some Christmas Music for the overnighters to enjoy.....played over the outdoor loudspeaker system.

Unfortunately, the CD/whatever was set to play reran ONE SONG, over and over.....

Johnny Mathis singing "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year"..... over and over, repeating non-stop every 2:48 minutes with a 3 second break between.

Earphones didn't block it.....it was turned up too loud....you could hear it playing a 1/2 block away...

We were there for about 8 hours.....and although it's been about 4 years since that episode, I can still hear echoes of that damned song to this day in my head......and I nearly get sick whenever I hear it played again.

I do the same thing, when I'm either in my car or bedroom. I otherwise wouldn't dare, for fear somebody would hit me upside the head with a brick.

Then again, I just like to play Christmas-y tunes year 'round. :p Not not the traditionally sung slower-than-thick-molasses carols, but any kind of Mannheim Steamroller, TSO, Gary Hoey, etc.
