nah, it's the core that gets really hot. I assure you they wouldn't put that sticker on there if they thought it would light up ;)

I have always just left it on. I see not reason to remove it. Why do YOU think it should be removed?

I have a peice of paper, well I guess its sticker on an old 1.4 t-Bird it is still running fine been overclocked before too it is just on the wafer not the core. So you should be fine

wait what?!? am i missing something?? i know manufacturers put a plastic film on the underside of the HS so that it doesn't get scratched, but once you get it in your hands, you are supposed to remove it. whitesticker. huh?

im guessing its from newegg?
its a part number thing they use for warranty purposes i think
anyways, only reason to remove it is if you need to get at the bridges underneath they coverup
otherwise it wont melt and wreak havoc on your computer ;) (just make sure its NOT on the die and you are set)
