You need a 1 Year Art Requirement to get into UC's, I knew that and was just going to take Photo 1 next year as my Senior year for an easy grade... unfortunately I found out that Photo 1 doesn't count (at least for my school) for the 1 Year Art Requirement and that it requires Photo 2 or some shenanigans like that. Same with all the other 1 classes: Art 1, Piano 1, Choir, etc. 🙁

I?m a Junior in HS, would taking a class over the summer at a community college get me that credit?
 
You'd probably have to check with the school to see. They'd be able to tell you! Hope everything works out for you. 😀

I was hoping someone here who goes to a UC could shed some light on this subject.

I took CAD 1, but I doubt that counts for Art credit 😉
