I'm dipping my hand in overclocking AMD, a little different than Intel where you just bump the FSB. Anyway, I think even though I'm setting my RAM to 200mhz in the BIOS, it comes up as 250mhz I think. If I just leave it to auto it sets as 166mhz.

Setup,

AMD 3200+ Venice oc'd 2500mhz
1gb Corsair Value 2x512
Biostar Tforce6100-939

Here's some screenshots and benchmarks.

One window says 200mhz, other says 250mhz. If it is at 250, that's kind of weird because it seems really stable.

You are at 250mhz FSB, the second photo is your rated speed, and the first is your actual speed, but CPU-Z is not all that accurate. It says mine is running at 300mhz when it is actually at 200mhz so... yeah.

Yea, 3dmark05 died within the first 2 seconds so it wasn't as stable as I thought. lol

I've got everything back to stock and the ram is now showing up as 200mhz, I don't know how to keep it there on the overclock though. Its always above or below. There doesn't seem to be dividers in the BIos either, you just set your memory speed, ex. 133, 166, 200, 216, 250... or auto.

The numbers are the dividers. ex. 133 is 133/200, 133/FSB, or 166/FSB, etc.

Ahh, I guess I'm use to seeing strictly ratio's like 5:4 :p

If my cpu fsb was 250, I should set the ram to 200, right?

Well if you set your ram to 200 it would be 250mhz.
I think I worded it wrong up top. It would be for ex. (133/200)xFSB=Ram speed or mhz.

Yeah it can be tricky. For example, I am running at 312FSB and my ram supports up to 250Mhz. Therefore, I set the ram speed to 166Mhz in the bios for an actual 255Mhz ram speed.
