Hi, Im new to forums and basically just got interest in building a desktop computer for myself (gaming). I just want to know if all these parts are all compatible with each other since i don't get a refund once i buy all the parts, so i want to make sure its 99.9% accurate. I based these parts on what is available on my local store and my budget. Here is my List:

Motherboard- GIGABYTE GA-Z68AP-D3 Intel Z68
CPU- Intel Core i5-2500K
RAM- 8GB KIT 1600 (4GB x 2) KINGSTON HYPER-X T1
PSU- COOLERMASTER EXTREME- 600w
Graphics card- ASUS GeForce GTX 550
Case- COOLERMASTER RC343 or RC360 or RC370 or CENTURION 5 I
HDD- 320gb western digital @7200rpm (from my old computer)

Suggestions and corrections would be appreciated! :)

The Kingston RAM is on Gigabyte's supported memory vendors list for that motherboard, so you should be good there. Two suggestions. First, I would suggest getting either a larger hard drive or a small SSD to act as a boot drive; 320 GB isn't very much space in this day and age unless you don't have a lot of media files. Second, if you're going to be gaming, you'll want to invest in a stronger card than a 550. What resolution do you run and what games do you typically play or plan on playing?

On the memory you want to make sure that you are running at 1.5v on it. The Intel® Core™ i5-2500K likes the memory at 1.5v ±5% (1.425v to 1.575v). Almost of all of the Kingston Hyper-X is running at 1.65v which is too high can can damage the processor. Also you may add in a 3rd party cooler like the Cooler Master 212 +/Evo that if the memory had a large heatspreader can spot you from installing the cooler.

What else is available at your local store and at what prices? I assume you are buying from there because you can't order online?

I am not sure what PS that case comes with but I would get a good PS e.g. Corsair or Seasonic, if you can get an SSD get one, and as far as the Gfx card I would get a 550Ti at least or 560Ti if you can afford it...
