Am I ready ?? new pcs arrives 2morrow

hey im pumped for my new pc i hope im ready this is what Ive got ready

-Win 2k
-newest win2k detonator drivers
-Santa cruz newest win 2k drivers
-My efficient networks dsl modem's win 2000 drivers
-win 2000 service pack
-boot up disc
-Ibm Disk utilities
-Wizip for 2000

anything else you can think of i may need ?
also what sucks is my geforce is coming in a day late so i guess its ok to put an old tnt 2 in for the time being and then when the gf2 comes i can just switch em cuz the drivers are already the same. Thanks fellas

my mobos an MSI KT7 Turbo R i dont think its a via chipset but of course direct x 8 ! lol how can i foget that

You're MSI K7T Turbo-R is a VIA chipset (KT133a) mobo, and you'll need the via 4-in-1 drivers which I recommend installing as soon as you install windows.

Yes, you install them FIRST in windows. Then everything else.

personally I like to have a utilities disk with some benchmarking tools to test as I install components...make sure I have things optimized correctly...

save any ocing really until the end to avoid issues during installs of other components...true test of stability is once everything you want to be in the computer is in....

im gettin the via drivers now hey thanks a lot i appreciate looking out, i prolly would of never got these. So other than that everythings ok right ? and switching the cards wont be bad eather i hope or ill wait for my gf2
edit the 4 in 1 drivers are 1425 im assuming these are the right ones

I got the 4.30 beta 4in1's and they seem just fine.....

I installed the 4.29 4in1's after I had installed many apps. I have had no problems.

wheres the 29's ?? i cant find em i can only find the 25's thanks. Yea im gonna need A lot of food and now ym dvd is acting retarted its like opening by itself and stuff, but i think everythings fine now..... yea so other than the VIA stuff i think im good right ? the win 2k service pack i think needs to connect to the net to download so once the dsl's working which i pray it will ill do wutever i need to do. thanks guys

uh oh now im afraid that my dsl wont work :-O. Id rather have windows 98 with dsl than win 2k without :-(. uh oh time to loose some sleep over this.

hey ok i called up verizon and they said worse omes to worst they'll have sumone come over and install the dsl for me for free. Also i just downloaded the 1429 drivers, so these are the best ones i assume so i guess im in the clear , also would u recommend what i said about installing the tnt 2 until the gf2 comes in ? thanks John
