Am I Overloading My Power Supply?

Here is my new system-

Addtronics 6890A with 300watt PS
ASUS CUSL2-c
P3 800EB
Golden Orb Heatsink
ASUS GeForce GTS2 32mb (AGP)
Promise FastTrak 100
(2) WD 20.5gig ATA66, striped
ASUS 50x CD ROM
Teac Floppy Drive
Philip Acoustic Edge Soundcard
3Com 905tx Network Card
2 x 128mb Crucial RAM
(1) 92mm Case Fan
(4) 80mm Case Fans

I have not fired this system up yet but I am concerned that I am getting ready to overload the power supply. Am I??

you should be fine w/ all that... fans and such don't use that much power...
but if you want to really know all of the components are rated at so many watts... add them all up and see where you come out compared to 300...

My current system:

PIII 700
Asus CUBX
12x DVD-Rom
6X4X24 CD burner
Fan in front of case and one in back
320 MB Ram
2 hard drives
Sound card
Radeon AIW
Heatsink and fan

All done with a 235w power supply. No problems at all.

SharkB8 if it`s stable don`t worry about it,if you start getting power related problems then think about a better PSU.

:)

Well, if you decide to add things up, remember that the 300W is total power and is divided up... so much for 12V stuff, so much for 5V stuff, there should be a sticker on the PS that explains it. So, techincally, you could overload a 300W PS with a load far less than 300W.

My view is that you are fine until the computer starts crashing/rebooting all the time. 300W is a big supply, not many people have 350 or 400s.
