Am I ok with this?

I have a Thunderbird 1GHz system with a 250 watt power supply. It just a basic system, no intensive peripherals running in it. It's to run applications and a couple of games.

You will want to be sure it's AMD approved Power Supply, especially if you are running a small one like 250Watts. I would personally suggest 300Watts or more.

250 watts is ok! I was able to get an Athlon 1.33ghz, 2 hds, vid card, modem, floppy, sound card, and a network card to run on a 100 watt power supply. Look at the list of approved AMD power supplies! These people here are quoting that AMD generally recommends 300 watt supplies, but that is not true! They approve 250 watt supplies also!
