All of Anands P4 articles shows the chip to have a Silver core on a Green backing (A PCB? Ceramic? dunno what its called). But the P4 1.5 Ghz Chip i bought was JUST that Silver Core.
 
Our Pentium 4 articles for the lower speed processors were the larger Socket 423 version.

You have purchased a Socket 478 Pentium 4 1.5GHz processor. The Socket 478 form factor is much smaller and has a closer pin grid array than the old one.
