the Canon S230 is ~$350 and is CF

the Canon SD100 is ~$250 and is SD

they have exactly the same specs

why the price diff????

The PowerShot SD100 (called the Digital IXUS II outside the U.S.) is Canon?s smallest (3.3? x 2.2? x 0.9?) digital ELPH camera. The major differences between the S230 and the SD100 is that the SD100 is the first Canon digicam to use SD / MMC cards (instead of Compact Flash cards) for image storage. The smaller SD/MMC cards and new smaller proprietary battery allowed Canon?s camera design staff to make the SD100 even smaller than the tiny S230.

The Canon SD100 features a 2x, 5.4-10.8mm zoom lens, equivalent to a 35-70mm zoom on a 35mm camera

The S230 has a 2x, 5.4-10.8mm glass zoom lens, equivalent to a 35-70mm zoom on a 35mm camera.

so other then the media diff which i allredy knew. it just has a smaller battery?

interesting. for $250 i might just have to buy this

Canon SD100 is a great camera. The battery lasts quite a long time and the pics are amazing.

I picked mine up for ~$300 with a 256mb SD card.
