Am I lazy or deserving of a break

I went to class today, first day of Spring quarter. I don't see myself continuing, the only reason I want to show up tomorrow is to talk to the girls (Winter quarter was slim pickings).

I've been working 5 days/week since I was 16 and I just got enough credits Winter quarter to be done with high school (just have to wait until June for them to actually give me the diploma).

I'm starting university in september, and am already ahead of the curve by having 30 college credits. Attending class now is just making myself more of an overachiever and could very well lead to total burnout and me quitting academics completely.

The question is, should I drop out of community college now (it's my last quarter there anyways before going to university) or stop being lazy and continue the quarter? I plan on deciding before 11:30am tomorrow when class begins again.. I don't like wasting my time.

I'm kind of using this as an idea of what my parents would end up thinking should I present them with this arguement, after they find out next month that I haven't had any classes all quarter.

Well..you could drop out, but then work more so you'd have a lot more money saved up for Uni.

you can take it easy now and work hard later (no pension, work until full retirement) or you can work hard now and take it easy later (pension, early retirement).

I'm automatically transferring the "I don't care" votes into the "skip class" column

Some colleges deny your admission regardless of what they've said previously if you blow off your last semester prior to attending their facility. If you want to dick around over 3 damn months, go ahead and do it. You'll pay later for it though.

I'm so glad there was an "I don't care" option

I didn't feel guilty about only reading the first sentence before voting :D

Don't drop out... enjoy high school while you can. I would give anything to turn back time to when I was in high school. So little responsibility... so little expected of you... good times.

Just go ahead and go work for your local shoe store since you have so much devotion and work ethic. Nobody else will be hiring somebody who quits community college. You couldn't even score a McJob with that reputation.

should I drop out of community college now
Are you in high school? Are you dropping out of community college before you even start? What the fuck?

He is still in high school but has already completed enough to graduate and then some.
Then what is he dropping out of? If you are already ready to graduate can't you just check out - so to speak? If you drop out, don't you lose your diploma and all that?

I go to community college but my high school sits in the background and gives me the credits I need to graduate, but I basically have nothing to do with them. This brings up another interesting point for myself in that I'm missing out on a free quarter of college (the district pays for it). Damn you.
