So far my PM's were flooded when I offer a new opinion, I am either ignored or flamed. Is the off topic forum just a forum of people with mostly the same ideas or is some of mine too in touch with the real world? I mean all I am doing is trying to start more rational discussions instead of letting the entire community go on all thinking the same when more opinions are required, but 70+ e-mails to date since I started visiting the off topic forum and 100+ PM's which I am constantly trying to erase becuase of my present deals in the FS/Trade forum.

All I want to say is I am not anti-American, I love my county 100%, but when I point out flaws in what I know to be morally incorrect and some rights in which research is required I get flamed because people listen to national news in which our government helps fund. (Short of the Cali tax thread in which Cali people is were I get most of my PM's because it is right, Cali produces litterally nothing but products which can be easily reproduced.)

But in either case I discribe a matter in which most people think is disagreeable because of 'media brainwash'.

Overall I just want to know if I am 'welcome' in the OT forum.

I found that funny the first few times I visited this page and my wife 'asked' instead of said the pm'S thing.

rofl :D

hey, it's all just fun and discussion; don't take it too seriously. your opinions are welcome (or not by some members) but just be prepared to take what comes. we all do and no harm done.

this is why i stay outta political debates here, my liberal views get me called anti-american or a terroist sympathisizer (not true!) and i stay away from alotta other issues too: gun control, homosexual rights etc, cuz i get so worked up that ppl think the way they do and condem me for my views that i think about it all the time.

oh, and a word to the wise, never use sarcasm here, like 95% wont get it and then you'll get flammed.

*kat. <-- actually has political views.

No harm, I was expecting a lot of flames when I made this post. I am just looking for general opinions.

I am not afraid of getting flamed. It is just day before yesterday or day before that I started coming here and I get flooded with e-mails and PM's. I think it is everyones right to post publically their opinion, and if a person is too afraid to answer publically. He either needs a politicain to quiet people like me or talk publically instead of bashing me in private which makes things...... either impolite or disturbing almost to the point of hositility.

When I talk on this forum as well as all other off topic forums, we all say what we have to publically. Sometimes it is politically correct, sometimes it is not. But we don't PM or flood e-mail, we talk about it in the open which is where it began and should stay. At least that is my opinion short of me/they publically start calling (which has not happened yet thankfully) each other c*m s*ucking b*stards, I am going to K*ll you or something of the like in which it should be resolved in PM's, e-mail's, or the authorities. Not just because you do not like what the other person had to say.

At least that is how I feel and I though under most gerneral circumstances so did the rest of the 'off topic' community did.

The problem is there are subjects that you mention that put you in the line of fire.
It's simple........
If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen

PMs I don't get any:(

I never thought of that now that you pointed it out. I always just looked at how many people are on when I log in... which is usually in the 175-700 range... :Q

Time to log off and get to Star Craft or work... Depending on how busy we are at the moment.

If you think everyone here has the same opinions, then you obviously haven't seen some of the massive flame wars. Futhermore, we don't really need people to come and start more of them, we used to be a much happier bunch. Can't you just play nice?:) Everyone is welcome here unless they turn out to be lying little assholes who make up ppl. I had something really funny to say here(not a crack on anyone) but i really don't remeber what it is anymore:(

Bottome line is this: we don't want to hear any crap around here that would even make us suspect that you're anti-American.

:) I'm pretty pro-US and I've taken plenty of lumps for it here. All in good fun, though and it's all but forgotten once I step away from the computer. Don't think any of us are laying in bed awake all night long thinking "Ooh, that SinfulWeeper and his opinions...it really chaps my hide"

Whatever...I like hearing the comments. I think I would have left a long time ago if there weren't so many people on both sides ready to discuss.

Okay, this is why I started my original post if some of you have not caughten on why.

In general rule except for one or two other forums which I visit are almost strictly e-mail related. E-mails and PM's are not excepted from what a general rule of thumb says. What is said in open stays in open. If a person has a problem with what I say in public (short of something like f*ck you you piece of s*it), it is open for public debate. What I have gotten here is people whom think their views are so important that it needs almost 100% personal discussion which is not constructive. If that were the case this topic forum would not be called Off Topic, instead it would be called Personal Discussion Forum.

What is the problem with that? People affraid of having their piont of views seen when it could make a great deal of importance... at least for themselves if not a lot of other people?

PDF is so far the impression this forum I think should get... PM's and e-mails in account speak it should be true. Either that or everybody is picking on the new commer...
