They are kinda cool, but drive one before you commit.

They are mind-numbingly slow, and the driving postion and view take LOTS of getting used too. It is an odd sensation not to see any hood, and to have the feeling of the front wheels behind you as you make a turn.
I read that your femurs are the front line of defense in a collision in these things 😀

Oooh, do I get some sort of ATOT discount if I buy roger's and "keep it in the family?"

You do realize that they were joking, right? Roger would sooner sell his home than the Westfalia.

Every man has his price, I'll bring up some of my girlfriends, a bottle of champagne and some bling-bling, we'll negotiate. 😀

my brother wants one, he'll be 16 in february. him and several of his friends are musicians...father wont let him get one, cant come up with good reason why. at least he doesnt look for a riced out honda as an alternative.

Put a nice new aluminum block 1800 - 2000CC engine in it, re-upholster the back all plush.. 😉

That bus definitely kicks ass. But may I suggest a different powerplant of the Subaru turbocharged variety?

Is it just a phase? Are there other die hard old school VW fans out there?

I'm thinking of picking one up. Not this one, too pricey, but something with potential...

Hmm, they are underpowered and air cooled, have poor crash protection, poor handling, no ABS, or air bags.

If you like it get it.
