I have my 9800 SE. I know its not the greatest card in the world, but I overclocked it from 324/270 to 400/315

My 3dMark 2003 score is 3213

Is this going to be good for half life 2 and doom 3, or am I going to be dissapointed?

neither of them are out yet, and if you plan to play them both, wait till both of them are out and then buy the VPU released afterwards for maximum performance.

Maybe not at high resolutions with high details, but you can dial those down a little for some acceptable performance without a hitch.

You only score a 3200 in 3dm03? Dang, the 9800 SEs really kind suck, my 9600 Pro scores around a 3k even.

Yeah, that 3200 seems low. I'm 58xx - 59xx with my 9800 Pro (flashed and o/ced 400/350).
