So I went to the cupboard and grabbed a bag of Turkey Jerky, I opened it and shoved a piece in my mouth without looking on my way back to my desk. I set the bag down on the desk and through the bag I see everything is covered in green and white fur..... It didn't taste particularly odd though..

So am I going to die?

Edit: At least the jerky had school spirit.

Yes :colbert:

Now if you're asking if your death will be expedited due to bad jerky, then I have no idea.

i once bit into a cookie in santa barbara that had pubes in it. luckily i noticed it, spit it out and survived, so i think your chances of survival are pretty good as well

I'm more impressed at how you managed to open the package and handle the mould filled piece of shit without looking at it once...

Oh, and turkey jerky goes bad?

Given how it is preserved I'm surprised it could actually mold like that.
How long did you let it sit there and why did you get it damp?

Its probably been opened, but zip-lock sealed for a month or so. The Silica packet was still in there too. I didn't get it damp.

I decided to kill the mold spores in my stomach with Taco Bell, so I think I'm in the clear now.

If you can survive Taco Bell, moldy jerky is no threat whatsoever. :shudder:

Ewww, Toxic Smell... I'd rather take my chances with the jerky. :D

I've had an opened (well, seal broken, but the cap is on) beef jerky in the cupboard for a few months and no mold. I've never seen jerky grow mold. Shens?

Were it me, I'd induce vomiting and get it the hell out of my stomach. I had food poisoning a couple weeks ago and it was so aweful I never want it again. So I wouldn't risk it.
