Am I going to break out all over?

I've been taking tricycline for acne on my face for about a month now, and I have an ear infection so I have to stop taking it for a week while I take some penicilin. Does this mean that I can expect to break out over that week? Before I had tricycline pimples came real fast sometimes even though I also have 2 prescription facial creams, but it seems to have really kept the pimples away. I'm worried mostly because graudation is next week and that means lots of photos...

EDIT: Ughh!! enough already! sorry I meant tetracycline...specifically my prescription bottle says minocycline. no my acne is not that bad but even w/ 3 prescription medicines fighting it it still manages to sneak it's way in sometimes and takes it's time going away.

Tricycline? Isn't that birth control? :Q Anyway, I don't know if it will or not. You should probably just call up your dermotologist and ask them. They would know best.

I don't know but time will pass and you'll go to your graduation pimpled or no. So I'd recommend that you consider that most old people went through that but don't worry or think about it now, so it will pass and everything will turn out just fine. Try to enjoy yourself and not worry about pimples. It probably just means you're intelligent or have lots of sex hormones and will be good in bead or something like that.

Ameesh:

Most doctors will prescribe both an oral medication (usually tetracycline which is what I think he has (and not tricycline)) and a facial cream (usually some form of Retin-A), even if the acne is light.

It's not unusual at all.

man in all honesty I think i would go see a new doctor.. tricycline is birthcontrol medication... yes it does clear womens faces up,. help their hair appear with more luster, some even loose weight, while others loose all sexual stimulus... Some women may experience some discomfort, other have nausia, diarherra, constipation, mental instabilty" oh wait thats normal"
hehe Trying to be silly I have been at werk way to long today..
But i dunno i think i woudl check with someone else.
Hey at least you cant get pregnant.

Tetracycline is NOT birth control, it's an antibiotic. You guys really shouldn't be giving advice, unless we know your medical or pharmacopoeial knowledge.

Birth control do help some women with acne problems (by regulating their hormones), but tetracycline isn't a birth control.

I know, but he said Tricycline. It was more of a joke than anything. He just needs to see his doctor.

He didn't say tetracycline, he said tricyclene. Ortho-Tricyclene is a birth control pill.
