To which I replied
"So you're going to let me buy it for $3000?"

And today he emailed me back -
Hi ,

For the moment i am in London UK with business and after i finish here
i`ll be back home but i have to stay here another month at least to
finish my business down here.

The item is located home in ,USA, and I will get somebody
to ship it to you ...no problems... You have the opportunity to
purchase this item at your last bid price .

The ex winner had some problems and couldn't handle the situation (he
told me something about his daughter being sick), so following eBay's
suggestion, I've contacted you this way.

The deal will go strictly according to eBay's rules and policy
regarding to this second chance offer- to start the official transaction, I
need to know your details :

- eBay ID and full name and address...... as soon as I have them I'll
start the official procedure, and eBay will notify you about this.

You'll also receive important guidelines + instructions from them
(please go through them exactly).

I'll handle the shipping, so this will be free of charge for you + I am
willing to deduct you with the fee for handling the payment procedure.

Also, a refund policy will be included.
Looking forward to hear from you.
Regards...

What I don't understand is
1. The auction still hasn't ended.
2. His eBay name "haghag39" isn't anywhere in the auction, nor is his email address.

What do you think?

Ok thanks. I just looked up his/her username, and he/she has 0 feedbacks, member for less than 1 month, and according to eBay lives in Singapore.

So I guess I'll just pretend to play along with this guy or something.

I had to break the news to a guy at work that he wasnt really going to get the $10,000.00 bike for $2500.00 when he got one of these fake second chance offers.

He didnt believe me at first, I told him how it would progress and how he would be asked to send money out of the country before taking delivery of the bike, that is exactly how it went.

No cheap Saturn for you.

If you have to ask, the answer is yes.

Why not contact EBay and ask them if this is an email they would send?

Yeah it didn't seem like one they would send, because some of the links and formatting were messed up.

Here is the part that scares me.

"The item is located home in ,USA, and I will get somebody
to ship it to you"

It looks like the guy has a letter with a bunch of blanks. This one is supposed to be City, USA but he forgot to fill in that blank. That or I'm thinking too much.

I emailed him and asked where to send the money lol. I'm just going to string him along and never send the money.
