I received an offer of $600 for the whole package (excluding the 80G drive). This was based on $500 for laptop and then 20% off on all other accessories to total to $600.

Is this a fair deal for me? I'm glad I'm selling the whole package but I think 20% off was a little steep of a discount for a 9-cell and a Thai keyboard, as well as throwing in the AC adapter for free.
 
$600USD is a pretty good price for a used T42 with those accessories...if you search ar ound on the internet you'll find refurbished (so basically new condition) T42s going for as low as $400.
 
price-checks generally are a no-no here, but id say its a fair price.

Fair enough. My rule of thumb is generally, anything used is 50% off of original MSRP.
 
T42 is old imo, we are selling em to a wholesaler at my work for like 300 bucks, granted they are beat up pretty bad 🙂
