I apologize. Didn't mean to offend.

I didn't know anyone who was gay when I was in high school. If someone thought you were a homosexual you'd get the shit kicked out of you...that was the 80s I grew up in. I'm not gay but I have some friends and family who are and I sympathize with what they have had to go through. I don't mean to make light of it...well, actually I do. It's more fun that way. 😛
