Am I dreaming, does laptop with following spec < $800 exist ?

0. Have S-video out and Firewire port, USB 2.0

1. Magnesium Alloy casing (something like avertec), no plastic crap (like dell)

2. Wi-Fi ready

3. < 1.5" thick and < 6 lbs (preferably 5lbs)

4. > 1 year warranty (I know some IBM have 3 yrs warranty)

5. Keyboard have the d@mn windows key (toshiba & IBM seems to have no d@mn win key, correct me if I am wrong)

6. 30+ GB HD, 256MB+ Ram, Preferably P4 M, no AMD

7. Screen size is not important, preferably 14"

8. At least 3+ hour battery life

9. build in dvd/cdrw combo drive.

If I have a budget of $800, which of the following above will u comprise ?

depends on how much it is and who is the rebate fullfillment company, smaller amount the better 🙂

probably does exist. as long as you don't get a vc(just stick with onboard video & sound) & the screen isn't better than a basic one.
