Ok, my ram can run at its rated speed of DDR400 3-3-3-8. However, i got it to work at 186Mhz and 2-3-2-5. Suggested course?
Do i go get a warrantly claim or do i keep it.

What's better, DDR400 3-3-3-8 or 2-3-2-5 at 186Mhz?

And BTW, what's the average life span of a dual core AMD Opteron 170 at 1.55V with max temps of 41 degrees?

I'd go with the 186mhz 2-3-2-5 for sure. As for the life span of your CPU, it will far outlive it's usefullness. I have yet to have a CPU die on me, including my pentium-2's that have been running overclocked since 1997.

I think he was asking if running at a lower speed with tighter timings would void his waranty..
