Am I crazy trying to put a 560 Ti or similar in an Optiplex 990?

I don't do much gaming but love a great system. Should I settle for something like an AMD 6670?

Do the 560 Ti's or the mid range AMD's kind of curve up with space of an inch or so under the end of the card? I need room under the end of the card for the SATA headers, etc. I have a maximum of 9.5 inches length is the card is higher up off the mother board at the end of these nicer cards. I think I might run into the SATA headers or RAM in this diminutive case unless the card curves up away from the motherboard.

If you don't really game I'd just go with a gtx460 or 6850 .low power lower price,low heat chips .
