Am I crazy or does the Audigy make my system unstable?

Clean install of XP, newest hyperions, newest nvidia drivers.. got an uptime of 2days straight with absolutely no errors.

So I put my audigy in, seems ok then i get an error, cant write to memory location xxxx xxxxx... strange but ok, no system crash.. but then it crashes every few hours.. so now i pulled the audigy out and no strange errors.

I know that audigys do not play well in via boards because via chipsets lack a feature that creative took for granted would be available on platforms.. pci bus parking or something i read once, something to that extent. I did a quick google search and there is such a thing as PCI bus parking so I'm assuming thats why it doesnt like my VIA board.

I dont think it would be smart to upgrade my motherboard to get a soundcard to work, and I find the santa cruz's lacking compared to the audigys.. but would like at least 4point for my z560s.

Did you install the Creative Play Center when you install the Audigy?

If so, you may want to remove it as that is the single, most often cause
of problems with that and AMD/Via chipsets.

I had similar problems with my Audigy until I disabled
Firewire port (IEEE1394) in Device Manager when I ran it in VIA
chipset board.
Had no problems after switching to I850E chipset.
