You pay for map updates. If you don't have a DVD player, then you have to go to the dealership to get the updates loaded, otherwise it comes on disk. Typically around $200 for an update from past experience.

The 4G LTE is purely a hotspot and not integrated into the ChevyLink. If you have ATT you can add the service to your shared plan, otherwise you pay for chunks of data. Tried it out, but has little value in a 2 seater. Maybe a family sedan or SUV would be a better place.

Thanks. I haven't messed around with it very much. I doubt I will. I heard that MyLink did have access through a 4G connection for 2015, but that looks like it was delayed.

I just need to know where to find NPR. I'll probably use the nav and phone connection every now and then.

I was ready to download the SDK and start making apps but they pulled the software :( Just hoping that it's backward compatible since we have the plumbing in place. For example, the '14 Corvette with MyLink will not have the functionality available.

$200 for a map update is insane. I can buy a whole GPS unit for much less than that.

$200 is rather tame compared to what some other manufacturers charge. But I agree - and that's why I just use my cellphone.

Yea map updates are pricey. I've been using my phone + Android Wear for my navigating needs while traveling, I'm starting to like it better than car infotainment systems.

That's why I do it at the most every 3-4 years. The updates just don't have enough in them to bother every year.

Round 1 of mods done. 002 = Stock, 005 = 1-7/8" Headers - Cats - X-Pipe & CAI. It sounds amazing!

Those are good numbers at the rear wheels. Did they also do the Skip Shift Elimination mod in the tune ?

What software did they use ? HP Tuners or something else ? If I buy one, I would only want to do the skip shift disable ... I know SLP makes an adapter that plugs in between the car harness and the skip shift solenoid, but they do not say if it works on the SS yet (it should but the tech specs are not yet listed as working on the SS)

I can never wait on things. LSA supercharger kit, blower cam, valvetrain upgrades, and meth injection are incoming. I'll have some help with the install this time.

Well you made half a week....willpower FTW!

I know you've had high HP cars before - what do you do with them exactly? I'm not condemning, just curious. Do you track them or just blow away ricers every once in a while?

I could blow away ricers easily now. I'll just drive it every now and then. Drive it within legal limits at all times on public roads. Probably take it down the quarter mile track a few times to see how it performs.
