I'm sure there aren't any problems, but the last thing I want to do is fry my brand new 8800gtx :p!

Are computer components fine to go through x-ray machines?

fine afaik( as far as I know)

I brought my mom my old shuttle computer last Christmas, complete with cpu, video card, hd drive etc ram... still inside and no problems at the airport or when I got home.

And I don't think airport security will consider a video card a concealed weapon......

As long as you keep the C4 in your checked baggage, you should be fine.

They xray laptops every day.

I've had my work laptop xrayed probably 100 times over the last 2-3 years... no problems.

So I can't see a video card being any different.

As long as it is not water cooled and if the fan has a liquid bearing, be sure to place it in a quart sized zip-top bag.
