Am I a bad person

I am a graduating senior in college right now, and will be done in less than 2 weeks, I have a real job already, and will be starting it June 1st. I have become totally apathetic toward school and my current campus jobs. As a result, I have done absolutely nothing at work. I don't really care enough to try. Am I a bad person for feeling this way? Or should I just drown my concerns in more alcohol?

That's how I feel about high school right now and I'm a sophomore. I will have aced every single of my 16 classes by the end of this year, save Algebra 2, in which I got a B because I missed two weeks. I'm probably getting a B again just because I haven't done any of my homework. There's a certain point where you just feel like "Why the fvck am wasting my time?" and I have a feeling that's where you're at too.

You're just burnt out.

Take a break, take a vacation. Then start your career.

I have been taking classes since 1998. Last seemster I finally got my associates, and now I'm working on my bachelors. I really really want to be done with all this school but I know that if I don't finish it, I'll be spending more time at work at the bottom of the totem pole the rest of my working life. Just hang in there.

"Senioritis" I know towards the end of my college days I felt the same. I didn't want to go to class or work, all I wanted to do was be lazy and have fun. It'll pass, and life goes on. Just enjoy your last days!:D

There isn't anything to look forward to anyway man. Just more work, more striving, and very little time to enjoy what you sewn. Drink up buddy, it's a crappy ride. A house, SUV, 2.3 kids, wife, ad nauseum. None of it is really going to make you feel better, it's just more 'stuff' to distract you from what life was meant to be.

Yeah, that's the problem. I want to be able to go get drunk every weekend and fvck around like the rest of my friends but I know that my parents already can't support us now, so there's no way I can afford not to get a decent job and not go to college. It sucks, but it's life. Sometimes I feel like I have cheats on or something... I mean yeah it's nice for everything to come a little easier but at the same time it means I have to load up on Honors/AP classes and it fvcking blows.

haha, you sound like me, i stopped caring this year, it took me a whole year longer than you, i'm a junior, i'm in two ap classes this year and two next year, plus a computer course and CAD. no big deal though, if you're like me you don't have to study at all and you still manage to pull a's out of your ass somehow...

i'm just wanting college to come, not really though, i just want college to be over... it'll be a pain in the ass... lots of work... hoping to graduate with my masters in computer engineering once i'm done with the 5 years though, so i'll be happy with the paycheck that comes with that and it'll all be worth it.

Well you've been going to school for 16 years... what more do you expect?

In a few months, that will be one thing you no longer have to worry about... a bit more free time, less deadlines and the feeling of acheivement are soon to be your new friends.

You mean when you realize that there are only a few things in life you enjoy, none of them get you a paycheck and you never have any time to do them? Meanwhile you can visibly watch yourself get older while you complete menial tasks so that you can go through the steps that every other person before or after you went through.
