I purchased a brand new DFI Lanparty UT nforce3 250gb mobo on 10/11/2004 from newegg.
I received the mobo on the 13th.
It was operational on the 28th of October once I received all the parts.
My mobo stopped working on the 5th of November, so I set up an RMA through newegg's online service and sent it priority. I asked for a replacement and gave them the reasons for it not working and what I tried doing.
They received it on the 8th of November.
On the 12th, I received a message, that it has gone to inspections department.
I called them up and newegg tells me that the serial number is different. I tell them its not possible because that's the only DFI nf3 mobo I got from newegg.
So they told me to check back again on Monday.
I called on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and newegg is telling me the same thing that serial number is different and I have contested many times that it can't be different becuase I didn't send them a different board.
Its the only board I got from them and returned exactly the same one as I received.
Upon telling newegg that, the customer rep insisted that as my previous inovices suggest that I bought a chaintech vnf3 moboa and asus k8n-e deluxe and I might have send them one of these.
Now , how stupid can you get.
Those mobos have totally different numbers and they don't even look anywhere close to being DFI Lanparty UT.
So at this stage, newegg isn't replacing my mobo and are not giving me any kind of refund.
What am I suppose to do now.
