Always wondered: what causes that intense tingling feeling when a limb falls asleep?

so yeah?

Sometimes I fall asleep on my arm, and I wake up w/ intense tingling feeling on my arm/hand...

also when u sit incorrectly, ur leg might fall asleep on u...

i knw it's a lack of blood/oxygen..but damn..why the intense tingling feeling?...it feels like my nerve endings are truely pissed off at me or something..."give me blood!!!"

The worst is trying to shut off the alarm clock when your hand/arm is asleep.

If you wake up with an "asleep" arm that you are unable to move, that means the circulation has been cut off for at least 30 minutes.
That's happened to me once. :Q
