Always interesting to read old CPU articles

This one is an x86 vs PPC piece that was so prevalent way back when. My how things have changed: Apple is using Intel processors, PPC 970 dissipated a lot more heat than the author would have anticipated despite the pure "RISC" design, there is no cut-down consumer version of the POWER5, etc.

I will always remember how Apple kept harping on how good their cpu is. They used to put down Intel and AMD quite alot. Then they went to Intel cpu's... :/
