Always get a Thread Type View once I'm viewing a thread

I had an issue the other day where my password mysteriously stopped working (it's been my PW for almost 5 years), with the help of a mod, I got back in today. However, now whenever I enter a thread, I get the frame at the top of the thread with the "Linear" post view. The only way it goes away is if I change "Topic View" to something other than Linear, then back to Linear...

I want no frame at the top of my threads, I just want to see the posts. If this is unclear, I can post screen shots. Any ideas as to what's up? Thanks!!

Try to go into your profile, click on Personal Options, and choose something other than Linear, save, and go back into Personal Options, and choose Linear again

Doh! It took me a second to find "Personal Options" once you mentioned it. I *knew* there was a place in my profile to set the default view but I couldn't find it
