Police: Man causes big stink after drunk girlfriend?s arrest

It all started with an unpaid bar tab at Skeeters Pub, according to police.
When the chain of events concluded, two people were under arrest and the Gloucester Township municipal building was the scene of quite a mess.
Literally.
With burning toilet paper and paper towels.
And worse.
A bathroom and a hallway had to be closed for three hours for cleaning and disinfection.
Charged with arson and criminal mischief was Jason Detora, 24, of Ambler Drive in Westville.
Charged with driving while intoxicated was Nicole Leadbeater, 22, also of Ambler Drive in Westville.
Shortly before 3 a.m. yesterday, the pub in the Camden County township's Blenheim section contacted police about an unpaid bill.
Detora, the patron, said his girlfriend was on the way to settle the tab.
When Leadbeater arrived, officers spoke with her - and arrested her for appearing to be under the influence.
She was taken to police headquarters, and so was Detora, "as a courtesy ... to wait for a ride," according to the police news release.
The details of what happened next are probably best left to the police statement:
"While waiting in the hallway of Police Hqs Mr Detora entered the bathroom, when he came out of the bathroom Ptl. Thomas Wynne noticed an odor eminating from the hallway. Ptl. Wynne checked the bathroom and found toilet paper along with paper towels were piled up and lit on fire. Ptl. Wynne also found Mr. Detora had defecated on the floor then drew on the walls of the bathroom with feces. Mr Detora was immediately taken into custody."
Detora was jailed after failing to meet the $35,000 bail.
Leadbeater was released after posting bail for a Pitman Boro warrant.
