Seriously though, what is "disseminating, procuring or promoting obscenity". If it was pedo I'm guessing they would have specified it. Did the guy have 2G1C on his computer or something? If so, is that a felony? Geez. Oh wait, it's SC. Bible belt. :rolleyes:

I remember reading something about that in another thread. I think that's basically what it amounted to. He showed porn to someone who was under age. It doesn't matter if it's a man or woman he showed it to.

btw keep that in mind. If you give a bunch of your old playboys to your nephew, your ass could be in jail for a few years. Let him download his own porn.

One man's porn is another man's art collection. Like obscenity, define porn.

Its very possible that Alvin Greene will make monkeys out of the judge and prosecutors,
and no one likes a holier than thou prude. Might end up the best thing that could ever happen to the Greene campaign.

He showed a female college student some "obscene pictures" at the university library. Hardly the crime of the century. More like bad manners.

There's a long list of congressmen who have done far worse.

Geez. She was a 19 year old college student, they were in class, or a study hall, and he showed her some porn on his laptop. This is such old news, hell it's from well before he even got elected.

It's the Bible Belt, and those in power must really be afraid of Alvin, given the nature and timing of the indictment..

Showing somebody porn is a *felony*? But hitting them in the face with your fist is probably a misdemeanor... My oh my, such tender sensibilities- not at all like the S Carolina women I dated in my youth... I'm a sucker for their accent...

75% of the damn country would be in jail, and the other 25% would be viewing porn non stop just to get the convictions.

And while you are at it, its a peril on your immortal soul to tear those little tags off of mattresses.

I find that ridiculous, but it definitely wouldn't make me want to vote for him. Being a skeezeball shouldn't be a crime, but we definitely shouldn't elect one to the United States Senate, either. This guy is just hilarious all around.

From what I remember she wasn't even a minor, she was 19.
