Aluminum Zip drive???

I would like to use my old zip 100 drive in my Lian Li aluminum case. Has anyone found a bezel or is there another way to get the look I want?

if you are good with a milling machine, you probably could take a spare 3.5" bay cover, drill out a slot from the aluminum so you can insert disks, and drill a hole where the disk eject button is.

Then install the zip drive behind this modified 3.5" bay cover...?

I have an idea - don't know whether it will work or not. Take aluminum foil, remove the plastic front bezel of the Zip drive, coat the face of the bezel with a thin layer of some type of slow-drying adhesive (needs to work with both plastic and metal), then press the foil (satin side out) to the face of the bezel with slow rubbing with a Q-Tip (kind of like gold leafing). Trim the excess alum. foil with a sharp Xacto knife... Paint the disk flap with your favorite shade of black Testor's model paint.
. Or you can always just start with silver Testor's model paint.

They make model foils that are just for covering plastic and wood to look like metal. It's already adhesive, and comes with application instructions. Most hobby shops carry it.
