Aluminum Vs. Steel?

Does one deal with heat better than the other?

Aluminum transfers heat better than steel.

Very true but unless we are talking about a fanless setup the amout of heat lost via conduction vs the amout shifted by case/cpu/gpu fans must be miniscule. Infact even in a fanless setup i would doubt it would account for even a 1 degree difference in temps comparing steel to aluminium

The reason I use Aluminum is not for heat - but for system weight. I use a full tower under the desk, and I move it in and out now and then. The Aluminum case is much easier to do that with. My other "floortop" is steel, and that is much more difficult. And, I do not disagree with Puppies at all - aluminum is simply "cooler" in the teen idiom sense. 🙂

$9~$15 and you are good to go with any case.

Nope! That will not work at all - the side door can't be opened and closed in such a carrier. I made my own - a wooden box with 4 casters. 🙂

Or, just mount wheels on the case bottom.
