I am about to buy an aluminum mesh filter for my front intake fan from here. By how much percent am I reducing airflow?

I am using one of his mesh filters and in my opinion there is very little airflow restriction. It works quite well.

They don't restrict much at all and look pretty slick however you could save yourself some money and buy them at a hardware store.. just show em that picture and you can easily find the size you need and probably a little bit cheaper too..

For sure foam filters are gonna restrict more air they also catch alot more floating particles, mesh filter doesn't block dust completely but its good enough...it does restrict some airflow but no where as near as much as foam. Mesh filters don't restict much but with a really low rpm fan you can feel the difference, compared to just having it free flowing. I mean even a finger grill is gonna slow it down some, but is so little to even care about. Just anything in the way any turns or anything in your airpath is gonna slow it down.

I'd say use just finger guards.. skip the filters and invest $20 in one of those cans of air that can be used again (it comes with a hand pump which can fill the can again and again and is sold at CompUSA) and finger guards look nice while most filters look ugly.. either way I like the recycled air can thing because the insides of my case are always free of dust even though I have no filters just finger guards on the case I use now..

Compusa has a online store might check there CompUSA

I find those little bottles, too small the the presure too little, to blow air out of like your PS or HS efficently. What i use is a presurised air tank, you know like the ones you use to fill up your car tires, or sand blasting! It blows dust out of from your HS and out of your case in seconds, spins those fans like they've never been spun before! It really gets all the dust out quick in every tight corner. If you don't have a air compressor to refill it hear you can go and refill is at liek k-mart/taget or like stores for 50 cents. If you just use it for blowing out your dust, would hardly ever have to refill.
