Aluminum Fan Caseings and stripping Screws

I just recently got an aluminum casing diablo fan for my system, and have been having a BITCH of a time getting the thing mounted, i keep stripping out the heads of the screws just trying to thread the thing. Any suggestions?

you are sure the screws you are trying to put in are the correct thread? and if not, you prolly already afarked up the threads.
also, you may have corssthreaded the screw holes and perminantly(short of retapping) wrecked whatever it is you are screwing in
 
You may need to go to a hardware store and pick up a screw tap. If you search Google, you can find some pictures so you know what to look for. Taps are used to create threads in a hole so that a screw can easily be screwed in. Be sure to find the right one for the screws you're using. You can take the screws to the hardware store and ask someone to help you find the right tap. When you get the tap, use pliers to grip the flat part at the top and turn the tap while it's in the hole. Unscrew the tap (move the tap back and forth a few time while doing this so that the threads are clean) and you should be set.
 
Went to ace, talked to a hardware guy, he recommended a different kind of screw altogether, came home, tried it, it worked great
