Altoids = Cat Cocaine?

I let my cat smell some Altoids tonight, thinking she would hate them (she hates minty stuff). Instead I got the opposite reaction. She started pushing the tin around the floor and going generally crazy. So I took one out of the tin and let her get a better whif. She actually licked the Altoid a couple times and then proceeded to roll around the floor like an idiot.

So...anyone else ever tried this? Could it hurt a cat to let them taste Altoids? She seems perfectly fine now that I've put them away in a cat-safe location.

Oh yes, my apologies but no vid/pics. I know I should know better but I have neither the time nor energy.

DON'T LET YOUR CATS OD ON ALTOIDS!

Feeding cats altoids might put them at risk. Remember, dogs can die from chocolate. I don't know what eating/tasting altoids might do, but I would avoid that in the future.

Catnip is from the mint family. It's not terribly supprising that your cat would have the same reaction to another member of the mint family as it would have to catnip.

I don't know, why do humans die from eating berries that birds can eat okay? Just one of those things.
