Although old, the recent Christmas incident reminded me about people carelessly driving cars.

The number of accidents caused by careless drivers is quite shocking, it really is the leading cause of car accidents. There are reasons why there are rules to driving, it not only protects other around your vehicle, but also is for your own safety as well. This is not just an issue in the US and is an issue world wide. Rash and careless driving needs to stop.

Even god agrees that careless drivers are really almost nearly the epitome of death. The following video and article talks about a driver who reeked of alcohol when helped out of a car accident. The guy apparently was speeding when they hit a included roundabout. The car went flying into the air. The car landed with intense force and bursted into flames. Guess where the car landed..... it landed at a cemetery.

How in the world can someone not move over for stopped vehicles on a freeway? Better question, how does a steering wheel go from working to working 0% out of nowhere? How can none notice a police officer or police car. How can one forget to slow down or look for caution if they are near a stalled vehicle that is not on the shoulder of the expressway. Now a simple tire change on a stalled car is turned into a three car pileup. By the way, this is news from yesterday and is about an incident in Idaho.

Is there some sort of problem how we conduct drivers ed, such that many of these accidents are stupid accidents that a no-brainier course of action could prevent such accident. It's not like as if there was black ice or something that caused the accident above, now that would have been a totally different story. Do driver ed trainers need to teach their students accident risk management topics twice, just so that people can get it thru their heads?

I in fact don't drive yet, as I don't even have a drivers license nor took the test yet even though I am 25 ... but I can still see what is wrong in the following videos. Guess what, I even have not taken any driving ed course and I still know the issues. All thanks to my good driving dad, I just look at how he drives and what he does, I just learn.

Driving while on drugs is no excuse for driving carelessly. Even though the following video is from a different country, driving tips always are almost the same. Lastly but not least, I can expect some of you to not notice the issue in some of the scenes especially the scenes that start at 2:32, 2:46 (hint: the truck is not the problem but is following driving tips nor the drivers on the left lane passing are the problem), 2:52 ( I can guarantee that some might not realize where the issue is).

The following video shows issues of driving world wide, but I am commenting the scenes that are from the US.
Starting at 0:10 - Don't always blame the younger person or a new driver for the crash, it could just be you. Also, it is wise to have a dash cam that faces the rear of the car.
Starting at 0:25 - There is a reason why one should have enough breaking distance between you and the car in front of you. Do not assume the car in front of you pressed the break accidentally. Also, don't turn when a hitting someone in the back is unavoidable, or else you could cause more wreckage, especially when you are driving a truck.
Starting at 0:35 - Wow, this person just passed you by driving over the double yellow line. Looks like they are in a hurry, and wait what, now they are repeatedly stepping on the breaks and going slow wtf? Is this guy dumb or something?
Starting at 1:04 - Never double park. You remember that video game of avoiding cars? Well when someone double parks on a road, that game just turned into real life for you, especially in a two way street. Now you are avoiding cars from the opposite direction.
Starting at 1:35 - There is a reason why there is a rule not (to use auto) retract or detract of a roof in a convertible while driving. How else will be able to see behind you during that time frame?
Starting at 1:45 - Idiot starts jumping all lanes at once right when the freeway entrance divider ends, and ends up skidding and crashing with a pileup.
Starting at 2:55 - If you do not know how to enter a gas station, just don't drive please!!!!! The first time this person tries to align with the gas pumps, they end up smashing into a garbage bin, and just leave. They then come back, again try to align... but end up hitting into the gas pumps them selves and a inferno starts. Oh wait, the car too gets on fire and get this.... the driver actually ends up driving with the front of the car on fire.
Starting at 3:24 - There is a reason why news reporters and during instructors say not to drive in icy conditions and use cation. Even if you are cautious ... others may not be and end up crashing into you.
Starting at 3:48 - There is no such thing as real life Forza on the road please!!!!!! Even if you don't hit others you might get hurt or seriously injured, and its illegal to go speeding!
Starting at 4:18 - If you don't know how to perpendicular park, please do no drive!!! Seriously it took a delivery guy on a motor cycle to park the car, that too on the first try and in just one turn of the steering wheel. Do they teach perpendicular parking in drivers ed or not?
Starting at 4:57 - Ohhh.... The typical driving in the wrong direction.... that too on a effing 3 laned road that is one way.
Starting at 5:30 - There is a reason why when puling out of the driveway to wait with the car fully in the driveway, not partially. This person with their truck halfway out now blocked the flow of traffic in a certain direction. Also what is this, why is there gallons of water splashing out from back of the truck?
Starting at 5:48 - Don't yell at us, it's you who has the stop sign and was supposed to wait, as we have the right of way.
Starting at 6:04 - Is driving in the wrong way on a one-way three laned road the new craze for idiot drivers in the US or something?
Starting at 6:42 - Regardless if you drive a car or not...you always have seen this happen where a car cuts another car on the expressway by driving on the shoulder.
Starting at 7:03 - Once again, when pulling out of a driveway, make sure your car can fit, otherwise you are going to back up traffic. Wow, this time someone ended up loosing a green light signal.
Starting at 7:31 - Always remember, just because you don't see a police car, does not mean there are no police officers and that they won't be able to catch you. Just look at how these police officers catch someone breaking a red light signal.

If you think that was how stupid drivers can be, you have not seen this. ALWAYS REMEMBER, DO NOT TRY TO BEAT A RAILROAD SIGNAL.

Your OP made it obvious that you do not drive. So here you are, once again trying to sound like an informed "expert", when your closest experience to actual driving...is being a passenger in your father's car.
I in fact don't drive yet, as I don't even have a drivers license nor took the test yet even though I am 25... but I can still see what is wrong in the following videos. And then you come here to post stupid, rhetorical questions that nobody else is juvenile and naïve enough to be curious about.

"I know the issues!! But...WHY DO PEOPLE DO THESE THINGS?!?" Uhh...

You really don't understand human beings very well if things like this boggle your mind. You are 25yo but the way you post here reads like it's from a 15yo, at best.
Cell. Phones.
Also inattentiveness, uncaring and self-centered attitudes, and lack of realization/recognizing that they are controlling a 2+ ton moving weapon. People take it for granted, because like most things...people doubt it will/can happen to them...until it does.
