Althlon Xp + Shuttle AK31 V3.1

Just ordered these 2 and I have a rather silly question. WIll the mobo recognize the XP without any problems? Im only asking because many people have been saying they have had to update their bios for it to recognize it. Is this only necassary when you move from a thunderbird to an Xp? All replies appreciated

even if it doesn't say it's an "xp" at post i'm sure you can still boot it and update the bios real quick, even if it does update the bios anyway, new bioses are your friend

I just installed this combo this weekend. Without the new bios the motherboard identifies the CPU as a Athlon 4, after flashing to new bios it identifies the CPU correctly as a Athlon XP. I also picked up some points in my Sandra memory scores. Hope this helps. Good Luck.
