Althlon 64 X2 Drivers

I just built a budget box using an AMD Athlon 64 X@ 4800+ and Vista Home Premium (32-bit). Do I need to install AMD's X2 driver and/or optimizer?

I am pretty sure I would need to with the previous versions of Windows.

With an OS that came out 7 years ago you might. With Vista, thankfully, you don't need to worry about processor drivers.

Vista sholud have almost all the Drivers.

However after the installation you have to check the Device Manager and make sure that every thing installted correctly.
