Alternatives to Microsoft Project?

In need of Project Management software. Microsoft Project has already been looked at and would like to explore alternatives. Features to include:

1. The ability to search by dates and keywords
2. The ability to create views for others

What are you guys using and how do you like it?
 
OpenWorkbench.

I've used it in my work for a while now. It's very similar to MS Project, but actually better because it has all the functionality I need for project management, without the bloat MS Project contains to address the remotest eventuality.
