I'm moving soon and was looking into TV providers. I wanted to get FiOS but its not available at my new place. Dishs aren't an option because of the layout. So it defaulted to Comcast. After reviewing their packages I'd prefer not to spend so much on so little. Does anyone have any alternatives to getting TV through Comcast. Creative options are encouraged.

I would like to be able to watch Football this fall if possible.

Sadly, there is no alternative where I live.

FIOS isn't available, and as far as TV goes, I can't get dish because of all the trees in my area.

The instant FIOS becomes available i'll be switching.

Comcast tends to be cheaper than FIOS & U-Verse. Satellite packages can be a bit cheaper, but once you add internet on top of that Comcast's bundles tend to be cheaper again (from my experience anyway).

Don't judge their prices based on the website. Call them and tell them you're thinking about signing up and want to know what the best package promotions they have running right now are. I have HD + DVR + HBO + 20mbps internet for $105/month, which is better than I could get through any other company or combination of companies. I could have gone a little cheaper with the regular speed internet, but I opted to pay for their higher tier service.

as soon as FIOS comes, comcast prices will drop or speeds/packages will improve. FIOS is still better though

Wide Open West Cable?
